The civil society taught me...
A lot is being said and written about Anna Hazare and the working of the Civil society(mostly negative) these days. But this isn’t fair. Whatever their methods be, they have taught so many things to me. Here i share them with u.
1.           I am above the parliament.
No not kidding, I actually am. OK, I’ll prove this to you. I am a citizen of India, and every citizen has the power to elect the parliament and tell them that they haven’t done the job, thus, we, the citizens are powerful than the parliament and since I am a citizen of India, I am above the parliament. (now pls, don’t burst out laughing, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal used similiar statements to defend his statement ANNA ABOVE THE PARLIAMENT)
2.       I can justify any act of mine.
Yup i can do that, just as Madam Kiran Bedi did. First travel in the economy class and then, claim for the business class. Get donations from the Microsoft, and still charge the students. And she defends the act saying since when has saving money or charity become an act of corruption. Awesome..!! why don’t these ideas ever click me even though I m a CA student..??..if only Mr. A Raja, Mr. Suresh Kalmadi and Ma’am Kanimozhi knew this art of defence, they wouldn’t have been behind the bars.
3.       I can get any bill passed.
Now that’s the easiest part. All I need is a group of close friends, a heavy lunch (what..?? am i not suppossed to have some heavy food before kicking off a 3 day fast..??), some public support (easily manageable) and two three local news channel (i need some coverage to get my voice heard otherwise who cares.)
The prominent bills in my plan of action are:
(i) the Right to Boyfriend, Girlfriend Act
(ii) The Student Minimum Attendance Act. (7.5 % from 75%)
(iii) The Luxurious Commodities Act (subsidy on all iPhones, tablets, branded clothes, well that’s a long list)
(iv) suggestions are open, i may lend my voice to some of ur bills too.
4.           Indefinite hunger strike is the greatest weapon.
Yes guys, it actually is. I’ll tell u how. Ask ur parents to get u the iPhone 4 or else u’ll go on an INDEFINITE HUNGER STRIKE, trust me, u’ll get atleast the iPhone 3 (this trick is worth trying, seriously.) And if u aren’t satisfied, give them a tentative date, and tell them u’ll start a 3-day hunger strike. Most probably u’ll get it this time.

Stop critcising the civil society friends, after all they have taught us so much..!! JJ
                                                                                                            Jai Hind,
                                                                                                            India Against Corruption,
                                                                                                            (but without the Lokpal)
